Workshops to be held jointly with other Institutions

The centre welcomes joint holding of such events which are held in collaboration with other institutions. These may be held outside the centre. The following norms are followed


(1) Small budget schools, workshops, discussion /theme meeting :

This event will be advertised as jointly organized. There should be a joint proposal submitted with involvement of at least one faculty member of the centre. The event should have overlap of interest with the centre’s research programme. An application is to be moved 4 months before the school. The representation of the centre in the academic programme and choice of speakers etc should be clearly mentioned. The centre will contribute up to ½ the budget or Rs. 1 lakh which ever is lower.


(2) Major workshops, conferences, symposia (both national and international) :

These events be advertised jointly organized and a joint proposal submitted. There should be a co-organizer of the conference from the centre .The event should have strong overlap of interest with the centre’s research programme. An application is moved 6 months before the school. The representation of the centre in the academic programme and choice of speakers etc should be clearly mentioned. The centre will contribute upto ½ the budget or Rs. 4 lakh whichever is lower.


(3) Other events:

These events may be jointly organized (for instance with other agencies outside the country) and do not fall in the above category will be judged individually on merit.
